Swingarm clearance shim kit for KTM & Husky 85

Typically head stays are used to improve handling of the motorcycle and they are not intended to hold the motor in place like motor mounts do.
Unfortunately with some of the new bikes the distance between the frame at the swing arm pivot is a little too wide and the motor does not get tightened enough at that point.
In past years the old frame would flex a little and allow the swing arm pivot bolt to tighten against the swing arm and motor.
The new frame is more rigid and even when torqued to the factory spec does not fit tight enough to hold the motor in place.
Now keep in mind we are talking about very small tolerances but at that point on the motorcycle it is critical because there is a lot of flex and stress, remember the swing arm is translating all the force of the back wheel to that pivot point. If the motor is not being squeezed tight at that location and is allowed to move eventually it will wear itself against the swing arm bushings.
This causes the motor to become even more loose then the motor starts hanging off the head stays causing much more stress than it was designed to handle.
When the motor is being held properly with all the mounting locations, there is almost no stress at the head stays which are only there to manage flex.
The way to fix this problem is to first carefully measure the distance between the frame at the point where the swing arm attaches.
Next measure the two swing arm bushings and the width of the motor at the point that the swing arm bolt goes through.
Now add those numbers up and compare it to the distance between the frame at that point.
You will probably find that there is a .030” to .050” difference. It is important to shim that out so the motor and swing arm will fit very tight against each other.
One of the big benefits of making this adjustment and fixing this problem is that the bike will handle better and will not vibrate as much as it does now.

N.B. We prefer to deliver to a BUSINESS/WORK ADDRESS if possible, as all our packages require a signature. DPD will attempt 3 deliveries, if all 3 are unsucessful then the goods will be returned to Judd Racing. If you wish for the goods to be re-sent then the cost is to be paid by the customer

Most products detailed online are kept in stock, ready for dispatch. If an order is placed for a stock item before midday, your order will be dispatched the same afternoon. For U.K. deliveries small postal items, are sent via Royal Mail. Often, the item will be delivered within 2-4 working days, although this does depend on the Post Offices seasonal workload.
Overseas orders are usually shipped via our courier service DPD or DHL. We reserve the right to charge additional shipping to destinations that do not form part of the mainland of the country selected, i.e. colonies & islands
All orders are dispatched Monday to Friday and all deliveries are made Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise on actual delivery times via Royal Mail, but you will be given a tracking number for DPD who normally guarantee the delivery time. We will not be liable for additional postage costs due to re-deliveries.
Please allow seven working days for domestic deliveries and fourteen working days for international deliveries before reporting a non-delivery. Please allow up to 28 Days for deliveries to the Russian Federation, as parcels can be held up by customs.
To calculate the shipping cost of your order, please place all items you wish to purchase into the shopping cart and proceed to the checkout. Before you are asked for your payment information, you will be advised of the shipping cost. Free delivery is calculated automatically on all applicable orders. For countries not listed, please contact us for shipping costs.
Free shipping is applicable on internet orders only over GBP 100 to England, areas of Scotland and Wales only.
